Meet our favorite Old English Sheep Dog, Cosmo: reputed traffic stopper, a lover of fine cheese (by the pound), squirrel teaser and dog of leisure.

Last fall, Cosmo’s folks signed on with Philadelphia Pet Adventures as a monthly contract. He’s been taking us out on daily midday dog walks ever since! Chances are you’ve seen him strolling around Wyndmoor and you couldn’t help but smile or stop to say hello. Believe me, you’re not alone. It happens almost every day. (Add Bella, his gorgeous Irish Setter girl-next-door friend pictured below, and watch out! Their combined cute factor is so magnetic, it’s been known to pull over cars and swing driver’s side doors wide open so folks won’t miss the chance to pet them.) It’s true!

When Cosmo wants to go where everyone knows his name, we walk to his favorite neighborhood stretch of USDA land: The Govy. He’s a rockstar who knows how to treat his fans. From the guards to the joggers to the researchers on their lunch break, he never lets a “Hey, Cosmo!” go unanswered.

But Cosmo isn’t simply a fluffy guy with a sweet face and leisurely strut. He knows his way around a kitchen, too. Watch him transform into a quick, helpful little assistant at dinner parties. No one touching that delicious deli tray and or that cheese platter piled with Brie? No worries! He’ll have those serving plates cleared & ready for the dishwasher before you know it!

We hope you’ll join us in wishing Cosmo’s belly a speedy recovery! We all know, a pound of Brie is hard to resist.

Feel better, Cos! (And perhaps consider eating in moderation next time.)
